The Armenian Students’ Association at UWC Dilijan is a formally structured student organization functioning under the umbrella of UWC Dilijan College. Our mission is to unite students, faculty members, and employees of Armenian descent and work toward a common goal of promoting our culture, heritage and history. The association develops a network of students and alumni of Armenian descent and works with other Armenian as well as non-Armenian organizations to organize events and projects that help to promote the purpose of the association.
UWC Dilijan is the fourteenth member of the United World Colleges (UWC) movement, a global educational network founded in 1962 at the height of the Cold War by Kurt Hahn on the principle that education can become a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Today, the movement encompasses eighteen colleges across four continents, and brings together diverse, and globally minded students from over 150 countries through a rigorous admission process. Founded in 2014 at a crossroads of Europe, the Middle East, and Russia by Ruben Vardanyan and Veronika Zonabend, UWC Dilijan was established with the vision of bringing Armenia to the world and the world to Armenia.
